About Schoolhouse.world
Schoolhouse.world is a platform for free, peer-to-peer tutoring where anyone, anywhere can receive live help, build their skills, and pay it forward by becoming a tutor themselves. Schoolhouse.world’s goal is to connect the world through learning, by providing high-quality, free online tutoring in a variety of subjects. These online tutoring sessions are conducted in small-group sessions on a platform where learners can build confidence, find community, and regardless of their age, become a tutor themselves.

All tutoring on Schoolhouse.world focuses on active learning that engages the learners. Tutors build community within their small group tutoring sessions through ice breakers (e.g. “two truths and a lie”), activities and practice problems, and lots of questions and conversation.

Schoolhouse.world provides learners across the globe with access to a safe and convenient way to connect with tutors. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, through in-kind product donations from Zoom Cares, Schoolhouse.world was able to connect learners from all different settings around the world, including rural villages where people use mobile phones as the sole method of accessing the internet.
