About CORA

CORA, headquartered in the Philippines, empowers people of all ages to be part of the solution for a sustainable future by working together on global issues including hunger, poverty, inequality, and climate change. Grounded in the premise that younger generations are our future, CORA encourages youth to take an active role in the activities it offers, including cleanups, webinars, and other volunteering initiatives. CORA encourages people to make a difference in any way they can, while also promoting inclusion among volunteers.

CORA & Zoom Cares

CORA knows it is critical for everyone to be empowered to take immediate action to reverse climate change and support human welfare. By connecting with the right resources and experts, enabled by Zoom technology, CORA has been able to foster a deeper understanding and sense of responsibility and empathy for people young and old when it comes to the environmental crisis. Specifically, CORA has created global, virtual connections among hundreds of individuals to provide free e-learning courses centered around marine conservation, zero waste, mangrove rehabilitation, renewable energy, youth leadership, and more.

How CORA Delivers Impact

CORA’s work focuses on three main pillars to elevate its impact:

CORA Cares (Human Welfare) focuses on humanitarian projects that allow volunteers to actively participate in addressing the needs of the most vulnerable, especially women and children.

Planet CORA (Environmentalism) aligns with CORA’s efforts to advance two Sustainable Development Goals: Life Below Water and Life On Land, in addition to empowering everyone to take aggressive climate action for the future of the younger generations. CORA Volunteers creates opportunities for accessible and community-centered projects that anyone, at any age, can easily use as a platform to create change anytime, anywhere through direct action.

“Being a CORA volunteer exposed me to the realities and threats to our environment and our communities. Being part of CORA has given me such immeasurable purpose that I never thought I’d find in this lifetime. I started off by simply volunteering to pick up trash at a monthly cleanup. What started as a journey towards personal healing has turned out to be a greater calling towards helping our people and the planet heal.”
